Mark Yakabuski, brother of long-time D1 Laurysen Kitchens player Matt Yakabuski, was seriously injured last week. The website Yakstrong was created to help support Mark’s road to recovery. The following is from the website’s About Us page:
We are raising funds for the Yakabuski family as they go through this difficult time. Mark was involved in a freak accident on a golf course that resulted in a serious spinal injury. The recovery process is a long one and it will require a significant financial commitment to get the care Mark needs.
We have designed a t-shirt that reflects Mark’s passion for the game of hockey; both as a player and a coach. Spread the word: tweet, retweet, like, share, text, snap – just get the word out.
